The paint is dry, the boxes are unpacked ( okay so 90% of them), the cupboards are organized. It feels nice to be able to relax over the weekend. I love having a yard for the kids to play in, even the hundreds of leaves from the neighbors giant Sycamore trees. The fun has just begun. I have this huge list running in my head of all the things that we need to do and things we need to get. I can't help it but I just notice things throughout the week and tally them in my head. It's like that Kleenex commercial , touch shoe, touch hat, touch door, touch car, touch pen, touch, touch...... It's a really long run-on sentence in my mind. That's the fun of being in your own house I guess! We have the sweetest, loneliest horse next door. He is so cute, following the kids along the fence and they like feeding him carrots. His name is Fudge and it's fun having him close by. Our street is a private lane and we are the second to the last house on the street. We have a barricade at the end and though you can't drive through we have several regulars who walk through. The neighbors are really sweet and for the most part in their 80's. We have a neat little lady who is in her 90's and she lives on her own. She was even driving up until a few years ago. Fifty years ago this street was filled to the brim with children but our kids are the only school age children now. The residents have all said that it is nice to have children here again, I agree.
I am so thankful!!!!
